Wednesday in the Waiting Room

Good Morning. We don't know much more today than we did yesterday. J's digestive system is still being stubborn. They are going to try the same things they did yesterday to see if things will start moving a little better. I'm sure there is a plan in case this does not work, but the doctor has not been by yet this morning and the nurse does not have any new orders. On a good note, his fever seems to be down. There is no news on the cause for the fever yet.

Keep us in your prayers.

Love,

Cara

Well I wouldn't expect anything less from any part of J, but to be stubborn. He will get things moving again. He has too much resolve (nicer than stubborn :)) to let this keep him down long. He'll be pushing the envelope of recovery as far as it can be in no time. Tell him that if he doesn't hurry up and get better I'll have to build a wheelchair ramp on the lake house. As always you guys are in our thoughts and prayer.

This surely is a true test of patience and strength! But you all will triumph! You are carrying the burden for both of you right now, so remember to take a deep breath and know that the Lord is taking care of everyone!

I am sure that the pain medication is probably not helping the digestive system at all! I will keep my fingers crossed that the marvels of medicine will do all that they can to get things moving and then the rest will be left to the lord! Cara, do take a deep breath as Katie suggested, as you know Stress is an evil that will affect you in ways that words can not express. As for J, you tell him that I am with Jim's entry below, I would hate to have to help build a wheelchair ramp at the Lake House! I suppose we could get a few guys together and carry him!!! I bet he would LOVE that!!! I am betting that he is not in the mood right now to laugh, however; later when he is feeling up to it, you tell him. You guys are in our prayers. We are tested in ways that only the Lord understands and I have faith that J will get through this at the Lords pace. Love, Julie

You are constantly in my thoughts, and right behind each thought is a mini prayer on J's behalf. I'm sure your patience is wearing thin-wish I could be there with you and help you pass the time. Thanks for getting the message posted-we all look anxiously for any news.

Hey Cara,
The first thing I did today was check your blog for J's update. I just know that his belly will start working again soon. God is just taking some time and know that He does have a plan. I know it's hard to remember that right now while you're the one pacing in a hospital, but God is giving you strength to keep going. You're doing such a great job....and I know your positive attitude will help J's recovery. Take care of yourself-please.

You all are in my thoughts and all of my prayers. I will make special prayer requests for both you and J tonight at Bible Study. Keep naming and claiming this verse: "By whose stripes ye were healed" 1 Peter 2:24. I pray for a speedy and safe recovery for J!
