Friday in the Waiting Room

Good Morning. J had a good night. We have already talked to the general surgery resident and the pulmonologist. J's lungs are looking better and they have him on the protocol to remove the vent. Part of the protocol is to reduce his sedation. This is a double edged sword. J will be more alert and "with us", but he will be in more pain. His chest tubes were also taken out this morning. We love that we are taking away tubes rather than adding them!

Today will be a full day. We are trying not to get our hopes up, but J may be off the vent by this evening.

We will post more as we get it.

Love and thanks to you all,

Cara

Nothing but great news keeps coming from Tulsa OK. Just remain positive and continue to be patient. You guys will be back in Fayetteville before you know it. Please let us know if there is anything we can do. We will continue to pray for Jerry's speedy recovery. Take care and God Bless.

Jerry and Family, Great to hear the good news and progress of Jerry. I have been reading the status and recovery progress of Jerry every day. I am truly pleased and happy that we have you to keep us all up-to-date and informed.

My thoughts and prays are with Jerry and his family during this difficult time, but I know that Jerry has a strong will to succeed and an outstanding support system. His family at the 96 APS, Air Force Reserves are thinking about him and praying for him every day.

MSgt Hartfield….continue to move forward on your recovery and persevere like you have in all your endeavors in life. I know you have a passion for your country/Air Force/unit and airman, but don’t worry; I have the watch!!

Cara and Family, if you need anything call on us (your family at the 96APS).
